I was actually a bit dissapointed. It was gorgeous, but crowded and full of rowdy, obnoxious campers. Not enjoyable and relaxing to hike in at all. Maybe in the offseason I can go back someday...

According to a Western-living magazine I read, you should: "Hang a left before the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite" to leave the tourists behind. It sends you to Hetch Hetchy, big reservoir with a pretty hike past a big waterfall.
