Hay is being cut today in Gogo's pasture.... so what did we do for fun? Went for a little bareback jaunt in the roundpen, of course!
She feels really quite good. She's still a little wonky but it's not bad. The leg looks SO much better after the injection - and the left looks better too, probably from not needing to compensate so much.
Bliss.
Yaaaah! How exciting! You guys look good!
ReplyDeleteI just love that shit-eatin' grin on your face at the end!
ReplyDeleteShe looks great! Her canter looked so smooth.
ReplyDeleteYou guys look great :) Share some of that sunshine??
ReplyDeleteBareback in shorts and muck boot, you're still a lovely rider. Glad Gogo's doing a little better.
ReplyDeleteAren't you missing THAT mane? LOl!!!
ReplyDeleteYou both look great!
What is the bitless bridle you are using it looks pretty cool?
thats a pretty good walk to canter for a horse been out for so long...doesn't look like she will be hard to bring back into work...what a good girl..
ReplyDeleteLove your riding outfit. HOT! :) She looks good! I bet that felt wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMuriel, I was missing it a bit, I only had hair nubbins to hold on to just in case she did something stupid! The bitless bridle is an indian bosal stuck on some random old headstall I happened to have laying around. It works all right, but she does seem to prefer a bit. This is just waaaaay easier to deal with and clean when all I'm doing is sitting on her for 10 mins at a time.
ReplyDeleteAnd the riding outfit? Can't believe I actually put it out there in video form for the world to see.... how embarassing.
She's looking lovely Andrea! Your ofit just shows what a true eventer you are ;)

ReplyDeleteYou both looked so happy! What a COUCH!
ReplyDeleteGogo looks really good! Just be careful about riding in roundpens and any ring made of those pipe panels. I know a woman who almost had to lose a leg after I terrible injury from getting her foot caught on one as she rode by.
ReplyDeleteKatie, this is a good point... don't think I'll be riding in their much anyway because it's too small but man that gives me more incentive to get out the second they are done haying!
ReplyDeletewhat a fatty :P and PS, I rode in shorts ALLLLLL the time 2 summers ago. Got an excellent tan :)
ReplyDeleteIs that a bitless bridle I see on Miss.Gogo?
ReplyDeleteLooking good, loved the walk to canter!
She looks fantastic! And what an awesome walk/canter transition. Beautiful. And all without a bit. :D I love her Mohawk.
ReplyDeleteShe looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't lose heart because of the ultrasound. We've all seen sound horses that look all a mess in Xrays etc., and dead lame horses with spotless diagnostics. How she feels/looks is just as important, and she looks great.
Hey, I love that you went Ghetto outfit, bareback and bitless..it makes me feel better about my posts :) Gogo looks lovely as a TrojanGirl
