Quincy.

I have lots to write about over the next few days. The clinic was great! James was a superstar. But that's not what I want to talk about today. Today is the six-year anniversary since Quincy died... I can't believe it. Six whole years.

Please, go read last year's tribute to him. I want everybody to know just why he was so special to me. And I hope everyone has a horse like him in your life, at least once.

More later.

  2. What a beautiful story about Quincy....reading it brought an abundance of tears to my eyes because I've been there, I've had that horse and just this year she turned 23 also. She was the best friend I ever had and helped me through the rough teen years of middle and high school. She was my guardian angel too. I hope that you can enjoy today remembering and celebrating his life instead of mourning his death. I'm sure he's up in the big green pasture in the clouds looking down on you and thanking you for the three wonderful years you gave him.

  3. What a wonderful story! I agree I hope every girl had a horse like that. I know I sure did. Without my TB Velour I would not be where I am today. I also had a rough adolescent period and I also hung out and lived with a rough and volatile crowd back then. Without the rock that was my horse I never would have graduated highschool or college. Most of my peers from back then did not.
